Once SoraFiles Desktop is set up, you can start a job from your file manager instead of opening the app first.
The basics
- Select one or more files.
- Right-click the selection.
- Choose Edit with SoraFiles.
- Pick an action from the list.
Only the actions that fit
The list depends on what you selected. SoraFiles shows only the actions that make sense for those files, so you won’t be offered something that can’t work on them.
For PDFs, that includes actions such as Compress PDF, Merge PDF, Rotate PDF and PDF to JPG. Other supported file types show the actions that apply to them.
Runs directly, or opens SoraFiles
Some actions run as soon as you choose them and save the result as a new file. Others need more input from you, so they open SoraFiles Desktop with your files already loaded.
Several files at once
When you select several compatible files, batch-compatible actions work on all of them in one go instead of one file at a time.
It looks a little different on each computer
Windows, macOS and Linux each have their own file manager, so the right-click menu doesn’t look the same everywhere, and Edit with SoraFiles may sit in a different spot. Right-click actions are available where the platform build supports them.
