SoraFiles Desktop is the desktop companion to the free SoraFiles web app. It’s a native app for people who work with PDFs and images often and want fewer steps: select files in your file manager, right-click, and choose what to do.
Who it’s for
Desktop suits repeat work, like compressing a batch of scans or turning PDF pages into images, without opening a browser tab first. If you only need a tool now and then, SoraFiles Web has all 26 tools in the browser, with nothing to install.
What it does
- Adds Edit with SoraFiles to the right-click menu in your file manager, where the platform build supports it.
- Shows only the actions that fit the files you selected, such as Compress PDF, Merge PDF, Rotate PDF or PDF to JPG.
- Works on one file or a batch.
- Processes files on your computer. Payment and licensing are separate from your files.
- Saves each result as a new file, beside the original or in another folder you choose.

SoraFiles Web stays free
Desktop doesn’t replace the web app, and you don’t need it to use sorafiles.com. Not every web tool is available as a Desktop action. SoraFiles Web vs SoraFiles Desktop explains when each one fits best.
